Montville High School Students Represent New Jersey in a National Summer Reading Program Video Contest

At the annual conference of National Youth Services Librarians a video written, produced, performed and edited by four Montville Township High School students was selected to represent New Jersey in the National Summer Reading Program. The theme for the 2016 Collaborative Summer Library Program is “Get in the Game – Read!”

First Annual Library Marketer of the Year Award – Deadline Aug. 1

Register Now for the 10th New Jersey Library Trustee Institute

The 10th NJ Library Trustee Institute will take place Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 9 A.M. – 4 P.M. at the National Conference Center Holiday Inn of East Windsor.

The New Jersey State Library would like to extend an opportunity to attend this exciting event to as many library trustees as possible, therefore, we will pay the full conference cost for ONE trustee from each library (up to 200 total). Additional trustees, administrators, and library directors are welcome to attend at a cost of $75 each. Priority registration will be given to trustees.

Disaster Planning and Community Resiliency Workshop Series – Register Now for September Sessions!

Thanks to a grant from the PSEG Foundation, the New Jersey State Library is pleased to offer nine training workshops based on The Librarian’s Disaster Planning and Community Resiliency Guidebook and Workbook. There will be a choice of three dates September. Registration is limited to 35 per workshop. Cost: $25 (to cover continental breakfast & lunch).

Penguin Random House has created the Penguin Random House Library Awards for Innovation to honor and highlight public libraries and librarians.
